About the conference

The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) is hosting the Science in Partnership Conference to bring together scientists and government, academic and industry partners from across the UK to explore how science, evidence and cross-sector collaboration can drive better animal, plant, environmental and public health outcomes.

The 2026 conference in York will focus on partnership-led innovation, translating evidence into practice, and addressing shared challenges across multiple sectors.

The programme will include presentations on the following topics: One Health; Data and Artificial Intelligence; Climate Change and Exotic Disease Threats and Innovation; with satellite sessions on Biosafety and Biosecurity; Science to Policy; and Sustaining Capability.

We are expecting around 250 delegates to attend. The majority of attendees will be APHA scientists plus representatives from other APHA divisions, as well as key partners from government, academia and industry.
