Fin Twomey

Fin Twomey, MVB, MRCVS

Fin Twomey is the Head of APHA’s Surveillance Intelligence Unit, with responsibility for Scanning Surveillance across a wide range of species, including farmed and wildlife, in England and Wales.

Since graduating as a Veterinary Surgeon, he has worked in private veterinary practice before joining APHA, initially as a Veterinary Investigation Officer, and subsequently he has worked in other Government veterinary, science and policy roles before taking on his current position.

Fin Twomey, Head of the APHA’s Surveillance Intelligence Unit, recently attended the 2023 Stakeholder Conference of the One Health European Joint Programme, a five-year partnership programme across the fields of public health, animal health and food safety.
